Results Were Almost Immediate Print


I have always enjoyed food, and since my high school days have struggled with being overweight. Portion control and poor food choices were my downfall.

I have a real sweet tooth, and when I would find a food I liked, my tendency was to eat a lot of it all in one sitting. As I struggled over the years with my weight, I never understood how others could seem to eat so much yet still stay skinny. I dreamed of having a metabolism like my friend Bob who could eat like a horse and still stay skinny.

One Saturday I decided to check out a free introductory talk that Dee McCaffrey was giving about her nutrition plan. I was so intrigued by what she was sharing that I decided to attend her 8-week course.

When I attended Dee food education classes I was amazed to find that if you eat a diet rich in natural foods and avoided processed foods, portion size would not be an issue. You could then eat pretty much as much natural food as you want. Dee even taught me that adding a brisk walk to my morning routine would keep my metabolism rate elevated during the day.

As I implemented these food lessons, I totally changed how I ate. It became easy to avoid processed food made with refined sugars and flours. Instead I added lots of vegetables, fruits, grains, and healthy oils like flaxseed to my food plan. I have even learned to satisfy my sweet tooth by enjoying naturally sweet fruits like mangos, apples, and papayas.

Learning to eat good, natural foods and adding exercise to my life was the answer. I found that I could have what Bob had!

The results were almost immediate. Within eight weeks, I went from 215 pounds to 180 pounds, and dropped two clothes sizes, all without feeling deprived. Today, not only do I feel better, I have more energy than I've had in a long time.

Dee was the first person to offer me nutritional advice that made sense. I know that this is a plan for life, and it is a very good life.
